Mr. T. Ashok is the founder Director of stag software private limited, a test engineering company based in Bangalore, India. He has over fifteen years of experience in the software discipline and has worked in all the phases of software development cycle.

Prior to this he was the Manager of Worldwide Software Test and Analysis Group (STAG) at VeriFone India Ltd, a division of Hewlett-Packard. WW: STAG is a large independent test organization in VeriFone/HP responsible for certifying client-server and electronic commence software. He has been with VeriFone from 1990 and has worked in areas of software development, software quality and training. Prior to VeriFone he was with HP Division of Blue Star and Sunray Computers.

He has won the Excellence-in-Action award and Quality Crusader awards at VeriFone. He has delivered lectures on testing at SPIN-Bangalore, IIT-Chennai, Novell, HP-ISO, Mastek and conducts classes on software engineering, software testing, design patterns in VeriFone and other companies. His papers on regression testing of C++ classes, system testing classes etc.have been presented at Quality week '96 and '97, IETE National Conference, NCOOT 97.

He holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from Illinois Institute of Technology and Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication Engg from Anna University, Guindy, Chennai. His interests are in areas of software patterns, test design, test automation, object technology, process engineering and measurement.
